The invitations to the KLA50 Anniversary Celebration ARE IN THE MAIL...and we are looking forward to gathering this summer with any and all KLA members to honor our founding members and to celebrate 50 (+1) years of the Keoka Lake Association.

Delayed a year due to the pandemic, the long-awaited 50th anniversary party is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022. Please watch your mailbox for the invitations and plan to return your RSVP card along with your check by June 1st. Due to caterer constraints, no tickets will be sold at the door!

The party will be held under a tent in the Eaton meadow; there will be a cash wine and beer bar; and there will be anniversary cake! Led by LEA’s Executive Director Colin Holme, the band "Second String" will provide the musical entertainment. The results of the KLA50 Capital Campaign will be announced at this time. This event is not suitable for children. Maine CDC guidelines will be followed.

To help offset some of the expenses of the anniversary celebration, we will be raffling off a queen-sized quilt (Windows on Keoka, Seasons of the Lake), with the winning ticket to be drawn at the party. If you have not yet bought your tickets, you can download raffle tickets here and return them with a check to KLA, P.O. Box 97, Waterford, ME 04088. Please note “KLA50 Quilt Raffle” in the memo line of the check.

Throughout the summer there will be a KLA retrospective at the Waterford Historical Society, and we encourage you to drop by and see what Nancy Marcotte and Nancy Eaton have pulled together from the archives. If you wish to purchase additional copies of Keoka Lake: A History of Life on Our Lake, they may be purchased at the Waterford Library during library hours.

We hope you will plan to join us on July 9, 2022 as we bring our KLA50 efforts to a close.
